Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result flow. Dartmouth Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those search terms. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most hosted services, the site receives routine server-log information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time stamps. We review this at an aggregate level for operations and page-use trends. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
What We Do With This Data
We use this limited information to operate the service, repair problems, understand traffic, and improve its reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or construct individual visitor profiles.
External Links
Dartmouth Residents Directory links to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their own privacy terms govern anything submitted there. That includes sponsored result providers.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information only when a valid legal process requires disclosure.
Data Security
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes stated here. Because no accounts are offered, no site password or account profile is maintained for a visitor.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Information Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, or deletion of personal data a service keeps. Massachusetts protections relevant to record access include the public-record exemptions in M.G.L. c. 4, ยง 7(26), vital-record rules in M.G.L. c. 46, and the Address Confidentiality Program in M.G.L. c. 9A and 950 CMR 130.00. Because we retain very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then removing what is found. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records maintained by Massachusetts, Bristol County, or Dartmouth offices are outside our control and must be addressed to their custodian.
Updates to This Policy
We will post revisions to this policy here. Continued use after a revision means that you accept the new version.
